since my last visit, we took in a budgie named turkey who fell in love with budgie. budgie barely tolerated him. but she knew how to keep him hoping. after several years of contented hopefulness, turkey passed on in april of this year. budgie was now free to pester the one she loved... me. but alas, she was getting on in years, and when her body finally said "enough, it is time" we helped her cross. that was last month.

one of these days, i will sell her cage and jungle gym...
